Molly of Denali
This series for children was created by PBS. Although it takes place in Alaska, it is an excellent resource for Canadian FNMI studies and many Canadians worked on the show. Lorne Cardinal provides the voice of Molly’s Grandpa. Each episode has 2 episodes of about 12 minutes each with a short live action piece in the middle showing life in Alaska that relates to the theme of the episode. These are ideal for showing during snack or lunch time at school and have been very well received by my students. Molly of Denali is a great way to expose students to FNMI content in a respectful and uncontrived manner.
