Pictos are simply flashcards with a picture on one side and a French word on the other. We use pictures because we are training the students to think in French, not to translate back and forth from French to English. The more vocabulary a child knows, the easier they will find speaking and reading.
The following videos teach both you and your child these important frequently used words.
- Week 1: voici, Luc, Caroline
- Week 2: Papa, Maman, et
- Week 3: bébé, le/la, de/du
- Week 4: petit, grand, est, sont, e, s
- Week 5: aime, marche, avec
- Week 6: mange, boit, un/une, les/des
- Week 7: joue, saute, parle, écoute, regarde, à
- Week 8: écrit, lit, chante, bien
- Week 9: rit, pleure, il/elle, heureux, se/ses, triste
- Week 10: est-ce que, ?, ne…pas
